Dorothy Gleaton Linder

Dorothy Gleaton Linder, 86, of Orangeburg passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held  at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with burial at  Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg.  Rev. Anthony Hughes will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be  Jeffrey Fogle, Jody Atkins, Larry Linder, Tony Linder, Jeff Smith and Donald Gleaton.

She was born on June 21, 1931 in Neeses, SC; the daughter of the late Beecher Gleaton and the late Beulah Davis Gleaton. In the 12 years that she attended school she was never absent. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was retired from Belk. She was the widow of the late Kenneth Linder and was preceded in death by a brother H.B. Gleaton.

Survivors include a daughter and a son-in-law; Sandy and Phillip Cave of Orangeburg; 3 grandchildren; Jennifer Cave Dudarenke (Jason) of North Augusta; Lindsay Farrell (Benji) of Orangeburg; Brad Cave (Sienna) of Asheville, NC; 6 great grandsons; Payton, Landon, Bryant Dudarenke of North Augusta and Ethan, Mason and Avery Farrell of Orangeburg; 2 great grand-daughters; Scarlett and  Harper Cave of Asheville, NC; 2 sisters-in-law; Eva Linder of Orangeburg and Evelyn Crosby of Round O, SC and  a number of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a Special Thanks to Hospice of SC especially to Karen, Lisa, Cassandra, Tabitha, Wanda and Lilly for all their care and compassion.

Friends may call at the residence of Sandy and Phillip Cave  and at the funeral home.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
