Mr. Harry Lee (Bud) Shroat, Jr., 92, of Orangeburg, S.C. passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg, S.C. with burial at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens with Masonic Rites and Military Honors.
Mr. Shroat was born October 25, 1925 in Swannanoa, N.C. a son of the late Harry Lee Shroat, Sr. and the Late Azalee Moore Shroat. He was a graduate of Oakley High School in Asheville,N.C. He was retired from the Savannah River-Dupont, a member of the St. George Baptist Church, the American Legion, Lifetime member of the Shibboleth Masonic Lodge #28 and Yorkrite Bodies. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years. Mrs. Louise Brown Shroat of Orangeburg, one son, Harry (Mike) and Paula Shroat, III, of Orangeburg, one grandson, Harry (Buddy) and Kacie Shroat IV of Pelion; three great grandsons; Rylan, Kaidan, and Kamdan Shroat all, of Pelion, one sister-in-law; Eugenie Penland of Asheville, N.C.and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home in Orangeburg.
