Willie Knight, Jr.

Willie Knight, Jr., 68, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Two Mile Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery in Cope, S.C.  Rev. Chuck Wells will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be Hank Hughes, Brian Hughes, Chris Hughes, Mason Knight, Dustin Etheridge and George Wannamaker.

Mr. Knight was born on January 9, 1950 in Orangeburg County.  He was the son of the late Willie Knight, Sr. and the late Sallie Dantzler Knight.  Mr. Knight was a veteran of the United States Army where he served with the Army Security Agency.  He was the retired owner/operator of Knight’s Garage.  He loved the outdoors, the dragstrip and spending time with his family. 

Survivors include his wife of forty-eight years, Judy Knight, of the home; three children, William Allan Knight (Lori) of Darlington, April Knight Tuten (Chris) of Lexington, Benjamin Willie Knight (Grace) of Neeses; four grandchildren, Mason, Kara, Benjamin and Gabriel; brother, Jimmie Hoffman and a sister, Betty Bonin both of Neeses and a number of nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the residence.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Two Mile Swamp Baptist Church Children’s Ministry at 1066 Bonnette Road Cope, S.C. 29038.
