Andrew "Andy" J Walling, Jr.

Name of Deceased  Andrew “Andy” J. Walling, Jr., 78, of Orangeburg passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, August 5, 2019 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg.  Rev. Wayne Ellis will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Smoak Cemetery in Cordova, S.C.                                                                 

Pallbearers will be Mark Walling, Jr., Daniel Etheridge, Kevin Hughes, Travis Fulmer, Bruce Herring, Tony Collins, Chris Binnicker and Stanley Baker

Honorary Pallbearers will be Glenn Mobley, Randy Mobley, Borden Baker and Jimmy Baker

Mr. Andy was born on October 14, 1940 in Orangeburg.  He was the son of the late Louise Caddin Driggers.  He retired after 31 years from Utica Tool.  Mr. Andy was a member of Double Branch Baptist Church in Orangeburg.  He was predeceased by his step-father, John W. “Bill” Driggers, sister, Betty Collins and brother-in-law, Furman Collins.

Survivors  include his wife, Lillie Binnicker Walling of the home; son, Mark (Frances) Walling of Cordova; step-sons, Tony (Pam) Etheridge of Pinehill Community, Dean Etheridge and Yolanda of Orangeburg; step-daughter, Deneen (Eddie)Wingard of Pinehill Community; grandchildren, Adrienne (Matthew) Chassereau of Erhardt, Mark “M.J.” Walling of Cordova; step-grandson, Daniel Etheridge; two  great-grandchildren; Aubrey Butler and Emily Chassereau; half-brother, Billy Walling of St. Matthews; half-sister, Lillian (Wilbur) Atkins of St. Matthews and a number of nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the residence.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday, August 4, 2019 at the Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
