Betty Jo Perkins, 80 passed away Monday, June 17, 2019 at Edisto Post-Acute Care in Orangeburg
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Friday before the service at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 21, 2019 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with burial at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg with Rev. Larry Williams officiating.
Pallbearers will be Ernie Wilson, Rick Wilson, John Gleaton, Mark Gleaton, Nick Nielson and Gregg Bourne
Mrs. Betty was born September 2, 1938 in Badin, NC; the daughter of the late Lois Compton Bailey Jackson and William M. Bailey, Sr. She was a member of Rivelon Baptist Church and a former member of Garden City Baptist Church, director of WMU and a Sunday School teacher. She was the widow of the late Marion Leo Perkins, Jr. and was preceded in death by a grandson, John Mark Rutledge and a brother, William M. Bailey, Jr.
Survivors include 2 daughters and sons-in-law; Debbie and Gene Platt of Elloree; Pamela and Mike Holbert of Orangeburg; 1 son and daughter-in-law; Marion Leo Perkins III and Terri of Newman, GA; 1 sister; Lois Ann Caulk and husband, Charles of Orangeburg, SC; a very special sister-in-law; Helen Wilson of Greenwood, SC; 3 grandchildren; Lisa Loadholt and Conrad of Cordova; Lance Dukes and Shantelle of Orangeburg; Kayla Nielson and Nick of Sandy Run; 3 great grand-children; Austin Loadholt of Cordova and Lexus Dukes of Orangeburg and Ellie Dukes of Orangeburg and a soon to be great granddaughter, Wren Nielson.
