Clarence L. Sweatman, 87, of Cope, died Wednesday, May 8th 2019, at CM Tucker Veterans Nursing Care Center in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held grave side at 1:00 PM on Friday May 17th at Ott Cemetery in Branchville, with the Rev. Allen Ard officiating.
He was born Oct. 24, 1931, in Orangeburg County, the son of the late Marcus E. Sweatman Sr. and the late Mary Lou Champy Sweatman. He was retired from Milliken. He was a member of Canna of Galilee Church and was the widower of the late Peggy Connor Sweatman.
Survivors include; children, Mark Lewis Sweatman, John Derrell Sweatman and Joseph Brad Sweatman Sr.; grandchildren, Joseph Brad Sweatman Jr., Kyle Alexander Sweatman, Tiffany Leigh Lindsey, Rivka Danielle Sweatman, Dane Michael Sweatman and Naomi Sweatman; seven great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Lola Martin of Orangeburg, Aubrey Sandifer of Bamberg, Lelia Mae Jackson of Holly Hill and Virginia Hutto of Cope.
