Earl Ray Bair, Jr.

Earl Ray Bair, Jr., 72 of Orangeburg passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018.                                                               

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.  A memorial service will follow at 2:00 P.M.

Ray was born in Orangeburg, S.C. on August 21, 1946.  He was the son of the late Earl Ray Bair, Sr. and the late Wardilaw Boltin Bair.  Ray served his country in the Vietnam War and returned to Orangeburg where he worked in the grocery industry and retired from Piggly Wiggly. He had a deep love for his friends and family and he had a wonderful sense of humor that could make anyone laugh.  He loved family history and had a sharp mind for dates, times and memories of past events.  Ray lived on the family farm his entire life.

Survivors include his sister, Phyllis Bair Croft of Johns Island, S.C.; niece Belinda Croft Roberts (Frazier); a great-nephew, Matthew all of Johns Island, S.C.

He was preceded in death by a niece, Katrina Croft Hackworth of Holly Hill, S.C. (Jerry Hackworth and children, Hunter and Ashlen.)
