Frances Ann (Robinson) Jones

Frances Ann Robinson Jones, 80, passed away peacefully at home with her family on Sunday, December 1, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg.  Burial will follow at Two-Mile Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery in Cope.  Rev. Graham Bennett and Chaplain Kenneth Hay will be officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Thompson Funeral Home in Orangeburg.

Frances was born on October 17, 1939.  She was the daughter of the late John Percy and the late Lena Mae Robinson of Bamberg.  She resided in Orangeburg then later in North with her son and daughter-in-law.  A graduate of Bamberg High School class of 1957.  She retired from Orangeburg County in 2006 after 30 years of service.  She was predeceased by her loving husband of 28 years, Ronald David Jones, Sr. 

She is survived by her three sons, Ronald David Jones, Jr., Ricky Lynn (Julie) Jones, Michael Brian (Rose) Jones, Sr.; grandchildren, Michael (Kristen) Jones, Meagan (Ryan) Hicks, Jonathan Jones, Rachel Jones, Jessie (Adam) Clayton, Chandler (Jenny) Jones; great-grandchildren, Leyla Antley, Tanner Jones, Ella Kate Jones, Harvey Clayton, Henleigh Hicks and soon to arrive Harper Jones; brother, J.P. Robinson; sister-in-laws, Esther (Carl) Fairey, Dorothy (Charles) Driggers; brothers-in-law, James Allen (Beverly) Jones, Wayne (Dallas) Jones, H.L. (Mary) Jones; a number of nieces and nephews and a special caregiver, Trina Chavis.
