Gale B. Livingston, 72, of Orangeburg passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019.
A double memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the Church of the Redeemer, 1606 Russell St, Orangeburg for Mrs. Gale and her son, Todd Livingston. Rev. Michael Sheedy will be officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Monday, March 25, 2019 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
Mrs. Gale was born on October 13, 1946 in Utica, N.Y. She was the daughter of the late Herbert Bauerle and the late Edna Balcum Bauerle. Her life’s work was to waterproof children and adults in the Orangeburg and surrounding areas which led to her teaching swimming lessons for over 40 years. She also taught water combat training to the local Army ROTC and developed the lettering program for local high school swim teams. Mrs. Gale open Trophy’s and Tees in the Orangeburg Mall which she helped operate until she had to leave because of her love and devotion to her family. She and her husband took care of their son in their home for over 35 years. Her life’s mission was taking care of others, which was something that she loved. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Livingston and a son, Todd Livingston.
Survivors include her daughter, Geri Wood of Orangeburg; her son, Jason Livingston of Orangeburg; granddaughter, Abigale Grace Wood of Oklahoma City, OK; great-grandson, Oliver Wood of Oklahoma City, OK; brother, Bruce (Connie) Bauerle of San Augustine, TX; sister-in-law, Sunny Forrest Bauerle of Norman OK.
