Mr. Joseph Daniel Stroman, 84, of the Four Holes Community passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Four Holes Baptist Church in Orangeburg, 1622 Four Holes Rd, Orangeburg. Burial will follow at Four Holes Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. David Dinkins will be officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 prior to the funeral service.
Pallbearers will be Tybee Stewart Stroman, Jacob Isaiah Stroman, Daniel Boone Stroman, Noah Bryant Tripp, Mason Boone Cobb, Aaron Quin Cobb, Jason Owen Black and David William Helms.
Mr. Stroman was born on March 21, 1934 in Orangeburg, S.C. He was the son of the late Daniel B. Stroman and the late Cora Alice Harmon Stroman. He served in the United States Army National Guard. He retired from SCDOT as a survey engineer. Mr. Stroman was a lifelong member of Four Holes Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher and a deacon for many years. He enjoyed going on mission trips with his church, spreading the Gospel. He loved spending time with his family and collecting model cars and tractors.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Nancy Counts Stroman of the home; children, Alice Louise Cobb of Four Holes Community, Daniel Eugene Stroman (Kathie) of Smoaks, Zoe Stroman Tripp (Ken) of Four Holes Community; grandchildren, Rebecca Clark Helms (David), Nanci Jo Black (Jason), Tybee Stroman (Nicole), Jacob Stroman (Chassidy), Daniel Stroman (Faren), Noah Tripp, Mason Cobb (Tina), Aaron Cobb (Kayla) , Louisa Ruth Cobb; eleven great-grandchildren; and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.
