Mr. Leon Henry (LH) Gleaton, Jr. age 76, passed away at C.M. Tucker Nursing Home in Columbia, S.C., on Sunday, December 24, 2017.

He was born on  March 11, 1941 in Columbia, S.C. and he grew up in Neeses, S.C. After graduating from Norway High School he enlisted and serviced in the United States Marine Corps. from 1959 -1963. On December 31, 1962 he married Elizabeth (Lib) Stillinger and they resided in Orangeburg, S.C.  He attended Baptist College in Charleston, S.C. and served as Pastor of Ashton Baptist Church in Ashton, S.C. He was Co-Owner of Futurex Enterprises, an Industrial Maintenance & Janitorial Company.   After many years of health issues, he went to be with his Lord and Savior. His presence will be greatly missed by all that loved and knew him.  He had an infectious smile that could instantly light up a room and he did his best to make everyone around him laugh. However, when it came to his faith he had a very serious side and was always concerned that his family shared his beliefs and tried to make certain they would be with him throughout eternity. He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Henry Gleaton Sr., his mother Ola Mae Gleaton, his son Michael Leon and his granddaughter, Laura-Ashley Boone.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Elizabeth (Lib) Stillinger Gleaton; daughter, Dorraine (Dodie) Gleaton Teasley of Lexington, S.C.; son, Timothy Ashton Gleaton of Orangeburg, S.C.; Siblings: Shirley Gleaton Fanning (Darrel) and brother, Franklin N.
