Linda Ott Newsome

Linda Ott Newsome of Orangeburg passed away Tuesday at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Sunday, October 21, 2018  at New Hope Baptist Church in Orangeburg prior to the funeral service.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church in Orangeburg.  Burial will follow  at Ott Cemetery in Branchville. Rev. Scott Wagoner, Rev. Billy Hurst and Rev. Larry Williams will be officiating. 

Pallbearers will be Roger Kovach, Jr., Allan Kovach, Randy Rucker, Stevie Warner, Kirk Davis and Chris O’Cain

Mrs. Newsome was born on May 15, 1952 in Orangeburg, SC.  She was the daughter of the late Harry A. Ott, Sr. and the late Elma Dukes Ott. She was a former employee of Dukes Bar-B-Que in Charleston.  

Survivors include her husband, Willie Newsome of Orangeburg; a son, Dr. & Mrs. Brian (Leigh Ann) Newsome of Orangeburg; a daughter, Jennifer Newsome of West Columbia; a brother, Harry and Ann Ott, Jr. of Orangeburg; a sister, Ann Kovach of Orangeburg; grandchildren, Ansley Newsome, Morgan Newsome, Kaylee Newsome and Gracelynn Newsome and a step-son; Bennie Newsome of Rowesville; special niece, Lisa Warner, special friends, Howard and Ann Nettles, and Lucy Breland and a number of nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the residence of the son and daughter-in-law; Dr. & Mrs. Brian and Leigh Ann Newsome; 115 Pompion Hill Drive, Orangeburg, SC.
