Lora Carol Williams, 72, of Vance, S.C. passed away on Tuesday July 17, 2018 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P. M. on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg.
Mrs. Williams was born on October 3, 1945 in Orangeburg, S.C. She was the daughter of the late Dorothy Grimes. She was retired from Bell South Telephone Company after 31 years of service and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She loved spending time with her family and friends at the lake.
Survivors include her husband; Larry David Williams of the home; 3 daughters; Sharon (Clark) Whetstone of Moncks Corner and Tamara (David) Stack of St. Matthews; Karla Priester and Butch Brown of N. Myrtle Beach; 1 son; Travis (Somer) Williams of St. Matthews; grandchildren; Blake Whetstone, Kara Whetstone, Jesse Stack, Dodd Stack, Bailey Williams, Davis Williams and Tucker Williams; 2 sisters; Jenneane Shuler of Holly Hill, Debbie (Rick) Hansen of Greer and 1 brother, Ted (Kaye) Jackson of Bellmont, NC and a number of nieces and nephews, also a special dog, “Bear”.
