Lorita "Pete" Etheridge

Lorita “Pete” Etheridge, 75, of Orangeburg passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018.   

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, November 23, 2018 at Double Branch Baptist Church 3567 Neeses Hwy, Orangeburg, SC 29115.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.  Rev. Wayne Ellis will be officiating.     

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at Double Branch Baptist Church on Friday, November 23, 2018 prior to the funeral service.    

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jimmy Baker, Stanley Baker, Mark Walling, Michael Fralix, Randy Mobley and Glyn Mobley

Honorary Pallbearers will be Mrs. Etheridge’s nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Etheridge was born on August 5, 1943 in Orangeburg.  She was the daughter of the late Laurie B. Walling and the late Bertha Lane Walling.  She was predeceased by a grandson, Joey Etheridge; siblings, Laurie “Bud” Walling, Robert Walling, Cape Walling and Hedy Fogle.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Billy Ray Etheridge; sons, Brian Etheridge (Ronda) of Neeses, Paul Etheridge (Olive) of Neeses, William Etheridge (Lisa) of Orangeburg; seven grandchildren, Dustin Etheridge (Lauren), Summer Etheridge,  Ryan Etheridge (Mollie), Rachel Gentry (Austin), Timothy Etheridge (Sabrina), Andrew Etheridge (Tavion), Allison Etheridge, Hailey Etheridge; three great-grandchildren; brother, Marshall Walling of N.C., sisters, Shelby Cooper (Johnny) of Cope, Nelda Walling (Phillip Vigo) of Orangeburg, Lorene Kirby (Odell) of Cordova, Ernie Walling of GA and Maxine Fralix of Summerton.
