Louise (Brown) Shroat

Louise Brown Shroat, 93, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.  Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.  Rev. Wayne Reeves will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be John Dantzler, Clyde Whisenhunt, Casey VanFaussien, Kenny Anderson, Dan Davis, Steve Summers

Mrs. Shroat was born on September 29, 1924 in Asheville, N.C.  She was the daughter of the late Garrett Wade Brown and the late Bonnie Hensley Brown.  She was retired from the accounting department at the Bank of Orangeburg.  Mrs. Louise was a member of St. George Baptist Church.  She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Shroat, Jr.

Survivors include her son, Harry L. “Mike” Shroat, III (Paula) of Orangeburg; grandson, Harry L. “Buddy” Shroat, IV (Kacie) of Pelion; great-grandsons, Rylan, Kaidan and Kamdan Shroat of Pelion; sister, Eugenia Penland of Asheville, N.C.; brother-in-law, Gale Wade (Barbara) of Nebo, N.C. and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:30 P.M. on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
