Lounette Smith Obituary

 

Mrs. Lounette Knight Collins Smith, 81 of 327 Lakeview Drive; Orangeburg

passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at her residence.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM before the service at the church.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at

Bethany Baptist Church in Orangeburg with Rev. Steve Scott and Rev. Jim Broad officiating.

Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Collins, Jackson Collins, Chris Morton, Eric Collins,      

Willis Smith and John Strickland.               

Mrs. Smith was born April 10, 1937 in Norway, SC; the daughter of the late Bertha Knight and the late Tommy Luther Knight. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and was a homemaker and child care giver at her house. She was predeceased by her 1st husband, Etheridge Collins, also by 1 brother and 3 sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Art Smith; her children, Ellis (Jenny) Collins, Mary C. Morton, Edward (Darlene) Collins, George (Dallas) Collins and Alan (Tricia) Collins; 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Bethany Baptist Church; 125 Bethany Road, Orangeburg, SC 29115 or to a charity of one’s choice.
