Mary Whetstone Obituary
Mrs. Mary B. Whetstone, 93, of Orangeburg passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg. Rev. Jim Parnell will be officiating. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 P.M. prior to the funeral service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Mrs. Whetstone’s grandsons, Rod Shuler, Scott Whetstone, Rhett Whetstone, Chip Irick, Heath Johnson, Cody Johnson, Dylan Shuler and Shawn Frye.
Mrs. Whetstone was born on April 6, 1926 in Norway, S.C. She was the daughter of the late Carlos H. Berry and the late Irene Fogle Berry. She was predeceased by her husband, Vance H. Whetstone, her daughter, Irene Irick and her great-granddaughter, Bailey Grace Whetstone.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Charles R. Shuler; her son and daughter-in-law, Homer E. and Gail Whetstone; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and son-in-law, L.W. Irick, Jr. (Julie).
