McDaniel "Mac" Hughes

McDaniel “Mac” Hughes, 65, of Orangeburg passed away on Friday, August 9, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.  Rev. Larry Williams and Pastor Kevin Ard will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg.

Pallbearers will be David Bair, Tripp Joyner, Will Joyner, Chris Myers, Clint Myers and David Stillinger.

Honorary pallbearers will be David McCollum and August Burke.

Mr. Mac was born on February 10, 1954 in Orangeburg.  He was the son of Susie Davis Hughes and the late McDaniel W. Hughes. 

Survivors include his mother, Susie Davis Hughes (David McCollum), daughters, Amanda Boltin, Stephanie Hughes; granddaughter, Kellie Boltin Evans (Dillon); sister, Cornelia Zelenuk-Burke (August); brother, Wayne Hughes; niece, Susan Zelenuk, nephews, Michael Zelenuk, Allen Hughes; a number of aunts, uncles great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.

Friends may call the residence of his mother, Susie Hughes.
