Michael Levi Craven

Michael Levi Craven, 24, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg.  Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Rev. Hank Fanning will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Kemmerlin, Steven Butler, Carlos Espinoza, Tobias Tyler, Charles Emanuel, Marquise Johnson, DeShawn Stevenson and Austin Strickland.

Honorary Pallbearers will be his uncles, Carl Joye and Carroll Joye.

Mr. Craven was born on April 20, 1993 in Orangeburg County.  He was the son of Christopher and Elinor Craven.  He graduated Edisto High School in 2012.  Michael joined the United States Army and served in Unit 13B in Fort Sill, Oklahoma.  He enjoyed football, wrestling, hunting and fishing.  He loved being with  his family and his friends.  He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Robert Kemmerlin and Leon Gleaton and a cousin, Laura Ashley Boone.

Survivors include his parents, Christopher “Chris” and Elinor Craven; fiancé,  Kristin Dalton; step-sisters, Kelley Craven, Laurie Craven, Claire Craven; step-brother, Kinard Craven; grandparents, Donna Kemmerlin, Lib Gleaton; aunts, Amy Nivens, Marlene (David) Dickerson, Dodie Gleaton, Sue Hughes, Angie Strickland; one uncle, Ashton Gleaton;  two great-uncles, Carl (Jannett) Joye, Carroll (Beverly) Joye; cousins, Angie Nivens, Donna Nivens, Jesse Nivens, Serenity McGuire, Bryan Burbage and Emily Boone.   

The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 13, 2018.
