Phillip Marvin Henry, 79, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 4, 2018.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with burial at New Hope Cemetery in Rowesville with Rev. Cindy C. Williams and Pastor Clyde Bearden officiating.
Mr. Henry was born on October 11, 1938 in Neeses, S.C. He was the son the late Nellie Jane Hair Henry. He served in the United States Army. Mr. Henry loved music and played many instruments, but he was known for playing the guitar. He was an outdoorsman but loved spending time with family and friends. He was predeceased by a daughter, Annette Henry.
Survivors include his wife of thirty six years, Rose Mary Henry; children, Phyllis (Gerald) Mills, Steve (Leslie) Creel, Joseph (Amanda) Creel, and Dottie Creel (daughter-in-law); thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Vernelle Gartman and Elsie Saylor; mother-in-law, Margie Lyons; a number of nieces and nephews; life-long friends, Bill Hasty and Tommie Jo Harley.
The family would like to extend a sincere thanks to all of the medical staff that helped Phillip through his journey.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. prior to the funeral service.
