Rev. Charles "Chuck" Wells Obituary

Rev. Charles “Chuck” Wells Msgt USAF retired went to be with the Lord on May 10, 2018. Chuck was married to Sylvia Sturkie Wells for 62 years. They were blessed with four children, Susan “Becky” Aron (Kenny), Robert “Bobby” Wells, Ann Cherie Stover and Barbara Lynn Wells. They were also blessed with eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Mr. Chuck is also survived by a sister, Cynthia Thomas Wolfe.

After retiring from the USAF in 1974, God called him to the Gospel ministry. He pastored three churches in Orangeburg County. Bull Swamp Baptist Church on three different occasions for a total of twenty years, Highland Baptist Church for five years and Two Mile Swamp Baptist Church twice for a total of eleven years.

Visitation will be held at the home. Funeral and graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 901 Pondview Drive in Neeses, S.C. Rev. James Williams, Rev. Henry Cooper and Rev. Walter Pym will be officiating. Following the service a Celebration of Life barbeque dinner and live Southern Gospel music will be held. Everyone is encouraged and invited to stay, eat, visit, fellowship and celebrate Chuck’s life.

The family would like to thank Regency Hospice for their care and support.

Pallbearers will be Gene Stephens, Chris Garrison, Morgan Garrison, Cedric Parker, Shaun Parker, Keith Aron, Waylin Wells and Kenton Aron.
