Richard "Ricky" Lee Obituary

Mr. Richard James Lee, 68, of St. Matthews passed away on Friday, November 1, 2019 at his residence after a brief illness. 

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg.  Dr. Rev. Thomas Huggins will be officiating.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.

Mr. Lee was born on December 22, 1950 in Orangeburg.  He was the son of the late Wilson Lee and the late Mary Virginia Moran Lee.    He was a small business owner in Orangeburg for many decades.  Mr. Lee retired from the South Carolina Department of Social Services.  He was predeceased by his wife, Martha Morris Lee and his daughter, Prudence Anton Ferris “Trudy Lee.”

Survivors include his daughter, Mary Amanda Lee of the home; brother, Timothy W. Lee (Patricia) and five nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Calhoun County Cares at P.O. Box 417  St. Matthews, S.C. 29135 or to a charity of one’s choice.

Amanda would like to give a special "thank you" to Edisto Home Care and Hospice and especially Monica and Sharon for their love and support during this difficult time.
