Robert W. Rowell

Mr. Robert W. Rowell, 73, of Cope, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 after an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Thompson Funeral Home in Orangeburg, S.C.  Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.  Minister Sam Hightower will be officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 16, 2020 prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers will be Chris Rowell, Mark Rowell, Danny Bolen, Kevin Nettles, Errol Gramling and Adam Joye.

Mr. Rowell was born on September 29, 1946 in Orangeburg.  He was the son of the late Shelley V. Rowell and the late Myrtis Bolen Rowell.  He was predeceased by his wife, Claudette W. Rowell and his sister, Norine Gramling.

Survivors include his brother, Heyward Rowell (Charlene); brother-in-law, Errol Gramling; niece, Vicki Joye (Adam); nephews, Chris Rowell (Melissa) and Mark Rowell (Robin).

The family would like to give a special thanks to Gloria Seawright and Mary Consider from DSS; Jessica Sturkie and Cameron Williams of Amedisys Home Health Care; Dr. Samies and his staff and Donna Fralix and Jonathan Montgomery from Amelia Village for all of their love and support during this difficult time.
