Velma Hall Obituary

Velma R. Hall went home to Heaven on March 20, 2018 to be with her mother, Charlotte Warren and her sister Marie Jones, who we lost just a few short months apart.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at St. Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church in Swansea. The casket will be placed in the church one hour prior to the funeral service.  Burial will follow at Calvary Baptist Church in Neeses.  Pastor Larry Jones will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be Antonio Robinson, Jackie Robinson, Nick Hall, Ed Hall, Alvoid Pratt, Clarence Hall, Jason Speed and Wesley Hall.

Mrs. Hall was born on August 14, 1961 in Fort Worth, Texas.  She was the daughter of the late Charles M. Heller and the late Charlotte James Warren.  She was a License Practical Nurse with the Methodist Oaks for over twenty years.

She leaves behind her husband of forty years, Lonnie D. Hall of Swansea; three children, Robert Hall of Swansea, Steven Hall of Columbia, Heather Williams of Orangeburg; six granddaughters and three grandsons; sister, Beverly Flood of Texas; brothers, Edward Speed of Georgia, Lee Gurganus of Missouri, Robert Warren, Jr. of Georgia; mother-in-law, Carolyn Hall of Orangeburg; a number of nieces and nephews and best friend, Vickie Bruner of Neeses.

The family would like to thank Compassionate Care Hospice and Tanayah Sims for their love and support.

Friends may call at the residence in Swansea, S.C.

Visitation will be held from 7:00-9:00P.M. on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Cancer Society at 1817 Gadsden Street Columbia, S.C. 29201.
