Peggy (Kizer) Childs

Peggy Kizer Dukes Childs , 84,  passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017 at her residence.

A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.

Mrs. Childs was born on March 18, 1933 in St. George, S.C.  She was the daughter of the late Olin Frederick Kizer and the late Julia Ruebelle Dufford Kizer.  She was a graduate of Pinegrove High School.  Mrs. Childs was a Registered Nurse and worked along side her late husband, Dr. Paul Childs.

Survivors include her daughters, Martha Dukes Kral (Louis) of Savannah, Melissa Susan Dukes of Cordova; sons, William Forney Dukes, Jr. (Brenda) of Columbia, Victor Barry Dukes (Dianne) of Orangeburg; grandchildren, Matthew Dukes Hanna, Andrew Douglas Dukes, Madelaine Alexis Kral, Louis Charles Kral IV, William Asbury Dukes and Rachel McKenna Dukes; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Grace Kizer Hutson, Julia Kizer Powell Hovis; sister-in-law, Shirley Kizer and a number of loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
