Albert Otto Murray, 75, of Orangeburg passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00A.M. on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens. Rev. Ric Watts will be officiating at the graveside. Pastor Bennie Williams and Rev. Charlie Snipes will officiate the funeral service.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Newsome, Kenny Newsome, Scotty Murray, Charlie Hudson, Ben Hutto and Leonard Carter.
Mr. Murray was born on January 11, 1941 in Branchville, S.C. He was the son of the late Leroy Murray, Sr. and the late Iola Malvenia Wimberly Murray. Mr. Albert served in the United States Army. He was a supervisor for REA asphalt and paving. He was a member of Branchville Baptist Church. His wife was the love of his life. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. He enjoyed hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Proveaux Murray of Orangeburg; Daughter, Cynthia (Anthony) Marino of Santon, VA; Sons, Albert Oakley Murray and Wyman Ray Murray (Angelia) all of Orangeburg; 7 grandchildren; 1 special great-granddaughter; sister Dixie White (Harold) of Santee, S.C. and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Megan Reed and Molly Bolen at the Regional Medical Center.

A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Thompson Funeral Home in Orangeburg
