Alice (Hutto) Geiger

Alice H. Geiger, 71, of St. Matthews S. C. passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Scott Alewine will be officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 P.M. on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel prior to the funeral service.

Family and friends may call at the home of Jerry and Doris Antley, 520 Banning Street, Cope, S.C.

Alice was born on November 26, 1952, in Orangeburg. She was the daughter of the late Fred Raymond Hutto, Jr. and the late Helena Fort Hutto.

Alice graduated from Edisto High School. She was a Doctor’s Assistant for the office of Williamson & Gillespie OBGYN, taught Early Childhood Education for ten years, and was a registered cosmetologist for the State of South Carolina for over thirty years. In her later years, Alice was a very loving caregiver for many.  She was also a member of the Woodmen of the World, Lodge II and attended Covenant Baptist Church in Cordova, S.C. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Jason Geiger.

Survivors include a son, Johnathan F. “Joby” Geiger and daughter in-law, Kelley Geiger of Swansea, S. C.; three grandchildren, Preston A. Geiger of Orangeburg, Tatum N. Geiger of Orangeburg, Victoria Annslie Syfrett of Orangeburg; a sister, Doris (Jerry) Antley of Cope; brother, Ray Hutto of Orangeburg; special friends, Judy R. Glover of Orangeburg, Jerry Hunt of Texas and a number of nieces and nephews.
