Anna "Ann" Kathryn (Rogers) Dennis

Anna “Ann” Kathryn Rogers Dennis, 85, of St. Matthews passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.  Rev. Henry Cooper will be officiating.

Mrs. Dennis was born on January 24, 1933 in Latta, S.C.  She was the daughter of the late Ethel Brumble Rogers.  She graduated from Columbia Business School and quickly began her career at Tidewater Supply in Columbia which led to her owning and operating several businesses including, All American Carwash in Orangeburg and Ann’s Interiors.  Mrs. Ann was a member of Shady Grove Methodist Church in Cameron.  She was predeceased by her husband, William Albert Dennis, Jr., sister, June Gerald and a brother, David Tracy Johnson.

Survivors include her daughters, Terri Dennis Childs (Larry) of Cameron, Alice Dennis Gleaton of St. Matthews; three grandchildren, Lawrence Paul Childs of Cameron, Robbie Thomas Gleaton of Lexington, Heather Elizabeth Gleaton of Springfield; one great-grandchild, Isaiah Andrew Croft of Springfield; a sister-in-law, Rosa Stewart of Olanta; one nephew and two nieces.

Friends may call at the residence of Terri and Larry Childs.

The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
