Annie Lee Bolen Myers, 81 wife of the late Jack Lewis Myers died Sunday, July 13, 2014 after a brief illness at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia. Graveside Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Thompson Cemetery at Dorange with Rev. Frank Hay and Rev. Bob Frederick directed by Thompson Funeral Home Inc. in Orangeburg
She was born October 7, 1932 in Orangeburg, SC; the daughter of the late Luther Richard Bolen, Sr. and the late Exie Lee Ackerman Bolen. Mrs. Myers spent many years working in the medical field. She started her career at Orangeburg Hospital and worked for many physicians and dentists in the Orangeburg Community. She volunteered for the Methodist Oaks, Clemson Extension Office and kept the books for the Rowesville Fire Department. She loved the Lord and served Him for many years at the First Baptist Church of Orangeburg and Rowesville Baptist Church as a Sunday School teacher and Choir Member. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 2 brothers, Richard L. Bolen and David N. Bolen.
Survivors include a daughter; Jackie M. (Charles) Reeves of Reevesville, SC; grandsons; Charlie Edward Reeves of Long Beach, CA, Jack Myers (Kim) Reeves of Reevesville, SC; great grandchildren; Jacob Myers Reeves and Hannah Grace Reeves both of Reevesville, SC; 1 brother; Daniel (Jeanne) Bolen of Columbia, SC.
Friends may call at the residence of Jackie and Charles Reeves, 554 Durham's Corner Road, Reevesville and at the funeral home.
VISITATION will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, July 14, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
