Annie Ruth Kinsey Rutland , 82 died Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Jolley Acres Health Care Center in Orangeburg.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, January 6, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with burial at Two Mile Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery in Cope
with Rev. Lois Helms officiating.
Pallbearers will be Alan Nettles, Colie Williamson, Bobo Seegers, Tristan Harvey, Bill Youmans and Chad Crosby.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Cameron Nettles, Bradley Seegers and Lanny Kinsey.
She was born July 22, 1934 in Orangeburg County, SC; the daughter of the late Jessie Marion Kinsey and the late Pearl Haigler Kinsey. She was a Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Sister. She was a Lifetime member of St. John’s United Methodist Church; a church choir member and a member of the Missionary Women’s Society. She was the widow of the late Leland L. Rutland and was preceded in death by a daughter; Brenda Jennings, a son, Russell Rutland, a grandson, Benji Rutland and 2 sisters; Grace Hinson and Jessie Pearl Scott.
Survivors include her children; Elaine Corbett of St. Matthews; Bruce (Jane) Rutland of Camden; Peggy (Bryan) Davis; C.L. Rutland both of Orangeburg; Louise (Jim) Brant of Grinnell, Iowa; 17grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren; 4 sisters; Mary Warren of Batesburg-Leesville and Naomi (William) Reed of Henderson, NC; Virginia (Thomas) Browder of North, SC and Martha Thomas of Summerville, SC and a brother, David Kinsey of Orangeburg and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the Staff and the Nursing Aides at Jolley Acres Health Care Center for their love and kindness.

Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
