Anthony "David" D. Williams

November 27, 1971 — February 28, 2024

Anthony “David” Williams, 52, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.

He was born in Orangeburg, S.C. to William “Jimbo” Williams and the late Sheila Duncan Williams.  He was a 1990 graduate of Orangeburg Wilkinson High School.  David was employed for the last 29 years with the SI Group in Orangeburg as a chemical boiler operator.

He was the definition of a true outdoorsman.  From fishing and hunting to fixing trucks and dirt bikes, he could do it all.  He was definitely “a jack of all trades.”

David was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend.   He will forever remain in the hearts of those that knew him and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 30 years, Wendy Robinson Williams of the home; sons, Laine Williams of Cope, Hunter Williams of Manning; father, William “Jimbo” Williams of Orangeburg; brother, Jamie Williams (Marie) of Orangeburg; sister, Renee McElvaney of Knoxville, TN; mother and father in-law, Edward and Loretta Robinson; sister-in-law, Kristy Antley of Taylorsville, N.C.; his fur baby “River”; a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, special friends and friends from Lands End, Beaufort.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Canaan Baptist Church, 4977 Cannon Bridge Road, Cope.  Rev. Alan Woodward will be officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg.  At other times, friends may also visit the residence.
