Avis Ruth Johnson Brown, 86 of Elloree, SC died Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Magnolia of Santee in Santee, SC.
Visitation will be held before the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Northgate Baptist Church in Orangeburg.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Northgate Baptist Church with burial at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tant Ehrhardt directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
Pallbearers will be Frank Myers, Ricky Johnson, Michael Shuler, Donnie Kittrell, Richard Ehrhardt, Alex Brown and Christian Brown. Honorary Pallbearers will be The Employees of Dukes BBQ.
Mrs. Brown was born October 12, 1927 in Williston; a daughter of the late Robert W. Johnson and the late Donie Bolen Johnson. She was a member of Northgate Baptist Church. Retired from Dukes BBQ and the widow of the late Marion O'Neal Brown.
Survivors include two sons; J. Michael and Julie Brown of Elloree and Robert W. and Dorothy Brown of Wingate, NC; four grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
