Barbara Ann Axson, 77 of Rock Hill (Formerly of Orangeburg) died Saturday August 22, 2015 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM before the service at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with burial at Penn Branch Cemetery near North with Rev. Jim Parnell officiating. She was born October 18, 1937 in Woodford, SC; the daughter of the late Clayton L. Axson and the late Carrie Lou Martin Axson. She was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church; a choir member and a soloist She was a member of the Orangeburg Music Club; a former employee The Times and Democrat, Orangeburg Redi-Mix Concrete and Pacific Columbia Mills. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters; Almeda Zeigler, Mildred Jeffcoat and Rowena Jeffcoat.
Survivors include her brother; William "Bill" Axson of Statesboro, GA; a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
