Beatrice Judy Gammons, 91 of 170 Retha Road, Orangeburg died Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the Riverside Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Orangeburg.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg with Rev. Steve Dees officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
She was born November 5, 1925 in Orangeburg, SC; the daughter of the late Richard Lee Judy and the late Pearl Drawdy Judy. She was a member of St. George Baptist Church and was retired from The Regional Medical Center. She was a member of the V.F.W. #2779 Orangeburg Post. She was the widow of the late Alphonso Gammons and was preceded in death by 2 sons; Donnie Gammons and Johnny M. Gammons and by 2 grandsons; Johnny M. Gammons, Jr. and Malcolm Tyler, Jr. and by a brother; Robert Lee.
Survivors include 1 son; Mitchell A. Gammons of Orangeburg; 1 daughter; Lois Tyler of Orangeburg; a daughter-in-law; Kittie Gammons; grandchildren; Alison Stokes, Donnie Gammons, Jr., Michelle Gammons, Teresa Ledford, Roziebeatrice Gammons and Mary Gammons also several great grandchildren. Also survived by a special friend and caregiver, Mary Beth S. Poston.
