Benjamin "Ray" Smith

Benjamin “Ray” Smith, 54, of Elloree, S.C. passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Ray was born on March 20, 1965 in Orangeburg, S.C.  He was the son of Arthur Smith, Sr. and the late Berdine Knight Valentine.  He was a long-time iron worker and welder.  Ray loved coon hunting and fishing.  He was predeceased by his mother, Berdine Valentine; step-fathers, Floyd Danztler, John Valentine and a brother, David B. Smith.

Survivors include his father, Arthur Smith, Sr. of Cope; brother, Arthur Smith, Jr. (Robette) of Elloree and sister, Ann Hutchins (Ken) of Johnston.
