A Memorial Service will be held will be held 11:30 AM Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Providence Baptist Church near St. Matthews with Rev. Kimmett L. Lott officiating. Directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
He was born April 20, 1954 in Orangeburg County, SC; the son of the late James Robert Spires and the late Thelma Ruth Hancock Spires. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church and was employed with Tuthill Cable Craft.
Survivors include his wife; Crystal Ann Spires of St. Matthews; 2 Daughters; Melissa Cordova and Heather Wise; 4 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; 3 stepchildren and his faithful dog, Gizmo; 3 brothers; Ray Spires, Glenn Spires and Robert Spires.
VISITATION WILL BE HELD 10:30 to 11:30 AM Saturday before the service at Providence Baptist Church near St. Matthews.
