Betty Cherry Arant, 78 of Rowesville died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 in Rowesville.
The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, July 25, 2014 at Bethel United Methodist Church on Charleston Highway; Orangeburg with burial in the church cemetery with Rev. Curtis Felkel and Rev. Wayne Manning officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home Inc. in Orangeburg.

She was born May 7, 1936 in Orangeburg County; the daughter of the late Benton L. Cherry, Sr. and the late Ethel O'Cain Cherry. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and was a past Sunday School teacher and Counselor for the M Y F. She was retired from Greenwood Mills and Fashion Fabrics.
Survivors include her husband; Bobby E. Arant, Sr. of Rowesville; 1 daughter; Merilyn (Bobby) Binnicker of Rowesville; 1 son; Bobby Arant, Jr. of Rowesville; 2 grandchildren; Bobby J. "B J" Binnicker, Jr. of Lexington and Nicholas H. Arant and friend; Kalie A. Liesenfeld of Ridgeland; 2 step grandchildren; Stacy B. Smith and Kevin J. Binnicker both of Gilbert; 4 great grandchildren; 6 step great grandchildren; 3 brothers; B. L. Cherry, Jr. of Orangeburg; Jack E. (Bonnie) Cherry of West Columbia and Danny M. (Trixie) Cherry of Rowesville.
Friends may call at the residence of Bobby Arant, Jr.; 4898 Charleston Highway, Rowesville and at the funeral home.
Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
