Betty Ann Fickling Singletary, of Cordova, S. C. passed away Monday, March 3, 2025. She was the daughter of the late James Charles (Jet) Fickling and Beatrice Windham Fickling of Orangeburg, S. C.
She was a Christian woman that loved the Lord. Everyone who met her, she would always tell them, “I love you.”
Betty went to school at Whitten Village located in Clinton S. C. She worked at The Methodist Oaks for many years and enjoyed being around and helping the residents.
She is survived by her husband, David W. Singletary of the home; brother, James Robert (Bob) Fickling (Mary), Jackson, Ga.; sister in-law Deborah Fickling Prescott (David) Cameron, SC; nephews and nieces James Robert (Robbie) Fickling (Susan) Atlanta, Ga., James Charles (Jim) Fickling (Cathy) Simpsonville, SC, Ronny Charles (Ron) Fickling, Jr. (Kim) Cayce, SC; Babs Fickling Kwiatek (Kenny) Wilmington, NC; brother in-law, James Mack Singletary (Marilyn), Orangeburg SC, and her beloved puppy “Babby.”
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother Ronny Charles Fickling, Sr.
Graveside service will be held Friday, March 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Sunnyside Cemetery, 601 Summers Ave., Orangeburg, SC. Rev. Larry Williams will be officiating.
