Mrs. Betty Jean Ott, 78 of The Methodist Oaks in Orangeburg died Tuesday June 4, 2013 at The Methodist Oaks in Orangeburg.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg with Pastor Bob Ossewaarde officiating. Pallbearers will be Kelly Hughes, Adam Taylor, Corley McClary, Lonnie Estes, Beaty Hughes.
She was born May 16, 1935 in Orangeburg, SC; the daughter of the late Adolph B. Fogle and late Theo Portia Scott Fogle. She was retired from the Orangeburg City Police Department after 45 years of service. She was a former member of the First Church of the Nazarene and Northside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a sister; George Ann Till.
Survivors include her husband; O. E. Ott of the home; 2 daughters; Deborah Ott Estes (Lonnie) of Prosperity, SC; Pamela Ott Kinard of Rowesville; 1 son; Oscar Troy Ott (Pam) of Columbia, SC; 6 Grandchildren; Kelly Hughes, Shauna Estes Taylor, Lacey McClary, Austin Kinard, Michaela Ott and Alexander Ott; 4 great grandchildren; 1 brother; Adolph Burk "Shot" Fogle, Jr. of Orangeburg.
Friends may call at the funeral home. Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
