Betty Virginia Vaughan Shultz , 82 of Cordova died Monday, February 24, 2014 at her home.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM before the service.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with burial at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg with Rev. Kenneth Hay officiating .
Pallbearers will be Addison Biederman, Shane Hallowell, James Martin, Jamey Martin, Christopher White and Dennis Vaughan.
Betty was born June 9, 1931 in Mauldin, SC; the daughter of the late William Vaughan and the late Pauline Hammond Vaughan. She was a member of Grove Station Baptist Church in Piedmont, SC. She attended Ebenezer Baptist Church in Cordova, SC. She retired in 1991 from the Edisto Schools. She loved her family, friends and life. She was a very giving person, loved to travel, camping in Maggie Valley, NC and anywhere else that her devoted husband and motor home would take them. She loved laughing, sharing good times with friends and playing Bingo. She was the widow of the late Raymond Charles Shultz and was preceded in death by a daughter; Karen Shultz Tyler.
Survivors include 2 daughters; Kathy (Ann) Shultz of Neeses, SC and Kimberly (Robert) Biederman of Wexford, PA; 1 son Keith (Haydee) Shultz of Waukegan, IL; 1 sister; Nellie (Sidney) Otey of Cordova; 1 brother; James (Faye) Vaughan of Greenville, SC; 8 grandchildren; Holly Hallowell, Brittani Biederman, Addison Biederman, Caroline Biederman, John Shultz, Daniel Shultz, Gregory Shultz and Scott Shultz; 2 great grandchildren ; Kaitlyn Hallowell and Harper Hallowell and a number of nieces and nephews.
