Betty Rose (Smoak) Tant

Betty Rose Smoak Tant, 70, of Cordova passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 1, 2020.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Cordova, S.C. We will be following the CDC guidelines for COVID-19. Masks will be required.

Mrs. Betty was born on January 11, 1950 in Orangeburg.  She was the daughter of the late LeGrand Smoak and the late Mildred Lynn Smoak.  She attended Columbia College.  Mrs. Betty was a substitute teacher for over 28 years in the Edisto Public School System.

Survivors include her children, Ernest Legrand Tant (Betsy), Jeff Tant (Taylor), Kim Tant; grandchildren, Walker LeGrand Tant, Joseph Happ Tant and Elsie Scout Tant.
