Betty Jean Williams, 74, died Friday, April 15, 2016 at her residence. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon before the service

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Monday, April 18, 2016 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg. Rev. Tony Lundy and Rev. Lawrence Cook will be officiating.

She was born April 30, 1941 in Bassett, VA; the daughter of the late James Wesley "Todd" Foley and the late Jessie Alma Hodge Foley. She attended Living Vine Worship Center. She was the widow of the late George H. Williams, Jr. and was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Mildred Hughes and Faye Dunford and a brother; James Foley.

Survivors include 1 son; George H. Williams III of Orangeburg; 2 daughters; Barbara Jean Lundy (Tony)of Bassett, VA and Mary Sue Hamm of Iowa; 7 grandchildren; 4 sisters; JoAnn Downs of Georgia; Hilda Parker, Carolyn Eames, and Alma Mae Mullins all of Virginia; 1 brother; Troy Foley of Georgia and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Friends may call at the residence.

Visitation will be held one hour before the service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon Monday, April 18, 2016.
