Beverly (Elliott) Brown

Mrs. Beverly Elliott Brown, widow of Reynold “Ricky” Brown, III passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, with her family by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the ROC at St. George Baptist Church, 2590 Shillings Bridge Rd, Orangeburg.  Burial will follow at Willow Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery, 1956 Willow Swamp Rd, Norway.  Pastor Bud Judy will be officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Kenny Link, Kevin Link, Ray Link, Carl Brown, Rhett Felder, and Austin Hall.

Mrs. Beverly was born in New London, Connecticut to the late Richard K. Elliott and the late Annie Jean Kittrell Dempsey.  She was employed by CVS as the store manager for over 20 years until her retirement.  After retirement she was able to enjoy the things that brought her the most joy, going to her grandchildren’s sports events, watching USC Lady Gamecock basketball, going to the beach, and reading. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She will forever be missed by everyone that knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children, Melanie B. Garrick (Wesley), Chris B. Brown (Samantha); her grandchildren, Caden, Layla, Emily, Ally, Autumn, Colton, Clayton; her brothers, Ricky Elliott, Keith Elliott (Sherrill); her sister, Wanda Elliott; nephews, Collin Elliott, Randy Elliott (Tiffany); niece, Cheyenne Elliott (Rhett); brothers-in-law, Richard Brown (Karen), Sam Brown; sister-in-law, Robyn Hallman (Roy); additional nieces and nephews, Rachel, Brittany, Jill, Nikki, Amber, Hunter, Ryan, and Taylor; her fur baby, “Bella” and a number of great nieces and great nephews.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Kelly Brown, brother-in-law, Reggie Brown, nephews, Chad Brown and Gaige Landrum.
