Billy Otto Carson, 75, of Orangeburg died on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Jolley Acres Healthcare.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 18, 2017  at Bethany Baptist Church.   Rev. Henry Cooper will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mel Clarke, Charles Sanford, Randy Poston, Bill Binnicker, Arthur Smith, Louie Moraley, and Charles Fenton

Mr. Carson was born September 16, 1941 a son of the late Willie H.  Carson, Jr. and the late Venice Wiles Carson Weldon.  He was a member of  Bethany Baptist Church and was  retired from Applied Engineering.  He was preceded in death by his wife; Faye Sanford Carson, a son Brian Carson, a daughter, Sheila Fenton and  a sister, June Carson Strickland.

Survivors include a son, Wade H. Carson of Orangeburg; a grandson, Joshua Paul (Lauren) Carson  of Irmo; Billy’s special granddaughter, Destiny (Ashton) Brabham  and her two sons, Jax and Caxson all of St. George; son-in-law, Charlie (Teresa) Fenton and their girls, Natalie Fenton, Lauren Fenton, and Abby Fenton all of Neeses; two sisters, Peggy Collins of Branchville and Joyce Felder of Myrtle Beach; three special sisters, Ethel Carson (Billy) Reed and Joan (Rabbit) Ulmer both of Orangeburg and Johnnie (Mike) Morrow of Hilda; sister-in-law, Margaret Binnicker of North Augusta and brother-in-law, Leonard (Red) Sanford of Orangeburg .

The family would like to thank the staff of Jolley Acres Healthcare and Dr. Vann Beth Shuler for their love and care for Billy and his family.

Visitation will be Saturday,  February 18, 2017  from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at Bethany Baptist Church prior to the funeral service.

Memorials may be made to Bethany Baptist Church, 125 Bethany Drive, Orangeburg, S.C. 29115.
