Billy Wayne Lane

It is with great sadness that the family of Billy Wayne Lane of Cordova announce that he passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Billy was born in Sumter, S.C. to the late Billy H. Lane and the late Beatrice Jackson Lane.  He worked for many years in tree service.  He would call himself “a tree surgeon.”  Billy was a true outdoorsman.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching all of the old tv shows.  He loved being a “Poppa” and “Pa” to his grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Barbara Lane Wright.

Survivors include his wife of over 35 years, Tina Stone; children, Stacey L. Poole, Bryan W. Lane (Kienda Stroman), Amy R. Lane, Katrina A. Sandifer (Kevin); grandchildren, Darren W. Gleaton (Corey Rawls), Hailey R. Lane, Melissa J. Wood, Daniel W. Lane, Jordan A. Hubbard, Meyah Lane, Ja’leigha R. Hubbard, Jaylin A. Lane, Skylar R. Rose, Kamryn Sandifer, Ky’mani R. Stroman, Malachi J. Stroman and two additional grandchildren coming soon; sisters, Wanda J. Coker (Jerry), Salley Lane Driggers (William), Jennifer Lane and a number of nieces, nephews and additional family and friends.
