Billy G. Parker, Sr.

Billy Gene Parker, Sr., 85, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024 surrounded by his family.

Born Billy G. Parker, on February 15, 1938 in Orangeburg, S.C. He was a graduate of Orangeburg High School Class of 1956. He served his country in the United States Air Force and retired after 23 years of active service duty. Billy went on to retire from Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College after over 20 years of employment. He enjoyed hunting,  fishing and all things outdoors. He loved God, his family and his country. He will be missed dearly by all of his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Parker; daughter, Toni (Max) Beasley of GA; son, Billy Parker, Jr. (Janet) of Orangeburg; grandchildren, Dana Parker, Haven Miller, Aaron Parker, Parker Stroble, Colie Holman, Jr., Tanya Fogle; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Williamson, Rebecca Weeks, Zoe Weeks, John Parker Miller, Clayton Beach, Cole Worthington, Jaxon Worthington, Logan Holman, Landon Stroble, Ryan Stroble; brothers, Herbert L. “Roy” Parker, Calvin Parker; sister, Carol Jo Horne and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Cindy Antley.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Columbia Road Church of God, 2485 Columbia Road, Orangeburg. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, 4830 Columbia Road, Orangeburg. Rev. Deryk Morgan and Rev. David Hammons  will be officiating.

The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at Columbia Road Church of God prior to the funeral service.
