Billy Joe Rice, 64 of 3010 Hilltop Circle; Orangeburg died Sunday, July 14, 2013 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg with Rev. Billy Williams officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
Pallbearers will be Mike Brant, Larry Rutland, D.J. Ellis, Chris Ellis, Ben Brown and Norman Snipes.
He was born March 17, 1949 in Lumberton, NC; the son of the late Elmer Matthew Rice and the Rettie "Rita" Lee Branch Rice.
Survivors include his wife; Susan Rice of Orangeburg; 2 step-daughters; Vicki Kilgus, Melissa Kilgus both of Orangeburg; 1 step-son; Chris (Hillary) Kilgus of Columbia, SC; 2 step grandchildren; Hayden Middleton, Austin Grant; 1 granddaughter; Carla Amaker, 1 grandson; Brandon Robinson; 3 great grandchildren; Austin Amaker, Mikayla Amaker and Samantha Amaker; 2 sisters; Virginia Lane (Douglas) of Lumberton, NC; Ann Gray (Wayne) of Fayetteville, NC; 2 brothers; Stanley (Faye) Rice of Lumberton, NC and Elmer Rice of Fayetteville, NC.
Visitation will held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
