Brenda Elizabeth Chavis Outlaw, 53 died Thursday, August 27, 2015 at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held 5:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg, S.C. withPastor Phyllis Underwood officiating.

She was born on August 19, 1962 in Orangeburg County, S.C. She was the daughter of Louise Davis Chavis and the late David Chavis. She was the widow of the late James Edward Outlaw and was preceded in death by a sister, Terry Jennings.

Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn (Steven) Barrett of Manning, S.C.; 2 grandsons, Gabriel Barrett and Levi Barrett of Manning, S.C.; mother and step-father, Louise and Kirby Chavis of Bowman, S.C.; 2 brothers, Charles Chavis of Orangeburg and Michael Chavis of Branchville, S.C.; 2 sisters, Susan Amaker of Jamison, S.C. and Connie Hall of Orangeburg, S.C.; 2 step sisters, Kim Self of Augusta, S.C. and Kristie Strickland of Orangeburg; 1 step brother, Kevin Chavis of St. Matthews, S.C. and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M.-5:00 P.M. prior to the service.
