Mr. Bunnie S. Yancey ,67 of St. Matthews, SC a retired Computer Senior Programer Analyst died Friday morning, November 27, 2015 at home surrounded by his family.

Services will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Gethsemane Baptist Church in St. Matthews, SC with Rev. Henry Cooper officiting directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.

Mr. Yancey was born August 14, 1948 in Orangeburg County, SC; a son of the late Solomon Yancey and Emma Elizabeth Rourk Yancey. He attended Elloree High School in Elloree, SC and retired from AgFirst in 2009 with over 29 years of service. He served 4 years in the U.S. Army and his hobbies were Bowling, he loved birds and loved watching his Gamecocks play football.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years Gloria Hurkes Yancey of the home; 1 sister; Kim Elizabeth (Mackey) Spires of St. Matthews; 2 daughters; Penny Michelle (David) Bennett, Mariska Lynnette (Chad) Odum; 1 son; Christopher Michael Yancey; and 8 grandchildren; Justin Yancey, Christian Bennett, Gabe Bennett, Rebel Bennett, Coutney Odum, Samantha Odum, Gillian Bennett all of St. Matthews and Peyton Barns of Jacksonville, FL; 2 loving pets, Tippy and Sweet Pea that he loved so much.

Friends may call at the residence in St. Matthews.
