Carl Wilbert Kemmerlin, 97 of Orangeburg died Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Agape Hospice House in Columbia.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 22, 2013 Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg with Rev. Shane Stutzman officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg

He was born April 22, 1916 in Bowman, SC; the son of the late Walter Charlie Kemmerlin and the late Viola Dean Kemmerlin. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II; a member of Northside Baptist Church and was the widower of the late Mildred Elise Cash Kemmerlin and was preceded in death by 2 brothers; 1 sister and 1 daughter.

Survivors include 1 daughter; Brenda Kemmerlin of Orangeburg; 2 sons; Clinton Kemmerlin (Bea) of Orangeburg; Walter Kemmerlin (Pattie) of Cordova; 9 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and 1 sister; Myrtle Johnston (Jasper) of Denmark.

Friends may call at the residence of Walter A. Kemmerlin; 145 Grove Drive; Cordova and at the funeral home.

Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
